Meet the Instructor
Maria Maddox, LVT, CCRP,
VTS (Physical Rehabilitation)
Maria received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Bryn Mawr College, her Associate’s in Veterinary Technology from Bel-Rea Institute and has been a credentialed veterinary technician since 2003. She was certified in Canine Rehabilitation by the University of Tennessee in 2006.
She received her Veterinary Technician Specialty in Physical Rehabilitation in 2017. She is one of the Charter members of the Academy of Physical Rehabilitation Veterinary Technicians (APRVT). Maria holds a Level 1certification in Reiki and is a Veterinary Cannabis Counselor; her other certifications are in VeterinaryNutrition, Animal Massage and Care Provider, and Fear Free. She is currently the Technical Manager atP.A.W.S. for Rehabilitation in Virginia Beach.
When Maria is not working in clinic, her time is filled caring for her family and many orchids. She has achieved the level of Substitute Teacher Level 1 in the SenshoIkenobo school of ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement). When she has the time, she enjoys taking selfies with her patients!
