Meet the Instructor
Ashley Allen, CVT
After starting her career assisting a house call veterinarian in Chicago, IL, Ashley fell most in love with the veterinary field while working at a large emergency/specialty hospital. She became a CVT in 2014 while functioning as an ER/ICU nurse. In addition, she cross-trained with many of the specialty departments including surgery, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, nephrology, cardiology, and neurology, making it a point to learn as much as humanly possible. Now, teaching is her biggest passion.
Ashley currently works in an ER-only facility that treats both small animals and exotics, which has been a surprisingly easy (but fun!) transition from small animal-only. She is also a candidate for the 2026 AVECCTN cycle in order to obtain her VTS in ECC!"
