Meet the Instructor
Ashley Allen, CVT
Ashley is a dedicated veterinary technician with a passion for emergency and critical care, Ashley started her vet med career assisting a house call veterinarian in Chicago, IL. It was at a large emergency/specialty hospital that she truly fell in love with the field.
She became a CVT in 2014 while working as an ER/ICU nurse, and cross-trained in multiple specialties, including surgery, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, nephrology, cardiology, and neurology, always striving to learn as much as possible.
Currently working in an ER-only facility that treats both small animals and exotics, Ashley has seamlessly transitioned into this new role, finding it both challenging and rewarding.
Always eager to grow, she is in the process of applying for her VTS in ECC. In addition to her own development, Ashley loves sharing her expertise and providing pro tips for those making the leap from general practice to emergency medicine.
